Guess Who: Food Around the World

When you’re mom calls you to dinner, you may be thinking of pizza, chicken, or hotdogs, but in other places around the world, kids sit down to dine on the most unique of culinary treats. Food is an amazing thing; it’s really a way of expressing your culture and feelings to the world, so it’s not surprising that many countries have their own way of doing things when it comes to dining. Try to guess where these foods come from...you might be surprised!
A big colorful smorgasbord of foods from all around the world, centralized in this special country, which has food influenced by many cultures and taste buds. What country is this traditional meal from?

This a land of multiple celebrations, many of which require special foods, like dumpling soups and breads. One of the most special and interesting breads is “Challah”, which is usually made once a week. Which country is home not only to the Challah, but the bagel, as well?

Here’s a delicious dish with a tongue twister of a name: Kaeng phet ped yang, which is translated into “Roast Duck in Red Curry”. If the spicy hot colors and flavors of this dish won’t clue you in, the name itself, obviously of Far-East origin, may give you a hint of where this dish comes from; and it isn’t China or Japan!
